Saltillo volleyball takes split in weeks action

Saltillo volleyball continues to take step forwards throughout he volleyball season.

After dropping the first three contests of the seasons, the Lady Tigers picked up a win over Ripley on Tuesday to pull to .500 on the year before falling to New Albany in 5 sets on Thursday.

Saltillo does appear to be on the right track as they gets started towards the second half of the season.

Against Ripley on Tuesday, the Lady Tigers got a 3-0 win and looked dominant at times on the road, winning with a steady onslaught at the net.

Saltillo won that contest by a score of 25-15, 25-18, 25-15.

Against New Albany on Thursday, Saltillo took a very talented Lady Bulldog team to 5 sets, eventually falling 14-25, 25-22, 19-25, 26-24, 15-8.

The Lady Tigers are in action at the Tishomingo County volleyball tournament this weekend, with four games scheduled.
