TCPS readies for playoffs as they win final regular season games

TCPS is looking towards the playoffs after both the Eagles and Lady Eagles won their final regular season games ahead of the 2-1A tournament.

The Lady Eagles have won their final two matches, 43-29 against Blue Mountain and 55-31 against Hamilton, while the boys squad fell to Blue Mountain but bounced back against Hamilton with a victory.

The ladies of TCPS have already punched their ticket to the playoffs as they await the winner of Wheeler/Tremont to see if they guarantee themselves a home playoff game while the boys need a victory on Tuesday against Baldwyn to continue their season.

Against Blue Mountain on Thursday, Ainsley Hale led with 15 points while Millie Speed contributed 9.

The Lady Eagles finish the regular season with a record of 20-8 for their 2nd straight 20 win season.

In boys action, Jackson Mills put up 19 points and 13 rebounds against Blue Mountain then scored a TCPS single game record 31 against Hamilton to become the all time leading scorer and rebounder for the Eagles.

The Eagles finish the regular season with a record of 11-17.
